Cold War Era We will begin the Cold War Era in regards to international conflicts. You'll notice the one day is focused on McCarthyism, this is the political component in regards to the Cold War and how that's attempting to control or maintain a minimal impact of Communism in the country. (Think Red Scare Part Two)
Vietnam War We will watch a film for Vietnam - the goal of the films is to see more of a first hand account in the experiences going on over in the war and the impacts on the families domestically as well. Vietnam, other than the Civil War, is one of our more devisive wars in there being a split between supporters and protestors. We will discuss Vietnam from the military perspective this unit and then discuss Vietnam again from the protest component in our next unit.
