Welcome!

Gilded Inquiry The Gilded Age and Progressive Era really show the reasons the U.S. was slow in entering WWI. Our attempt to stay as isolationist was primarily because the war was being fought in Europe (an ocean away) AND we were working on domestic issues as home. Our entering into WWI, even though it is for a short window, really is our first major glimpse of us leaving an isolationist policy and trying to be more involved in the global arena. The first two components of the inquiry will be on THIS GRADING PERIOD. The last parts of the inquiry will be on the NEXT GRADING PERIOD. So it is both the omega for the first nine weeks and the alpha for the second nine weeks.

The World WarsThis Unit we will cover WWI - WWII. It will have us discussing Wilson's presidency again, this time as a more reluctant war time President, but then also the 1920s and 1930s and then entering in WWII. This time period is huge for influencing our international relations to this day. It's important to be paying close attention to causes/factors because both wars will be on our test.
