Welcome!
Greetings This week we will be doing our first Case Study for the Case Method Institute for American History. The Federal Negative by Madison is going to be the concept we look at addressing and then later you will notice that Madison has a change of position the longer our government has been running. The fact that people change positions in our government isn't necessarily a bad thing because it is showing their evolving with experience and Madison is no different.
Case Method There's a Beginning of the Year Survey to complete (if you recall from Civics, data is very important to the Case Method Institute) prior to us starting, which we will do on Monday after notes. The case itself will also be released on Monday in case you want to look at it and start annotations, but we will also have time in class for reading. We are going to be reading and discussing in class, so if you do opt to read early you are still expected to be quiet while others are reading. Your table mates and you will have your own series of 'boards' that will get graded for discussion purposes.
Humans Remember our Founding Fathers were humans just like us and just like during the Revolution where not everyone was a Patriot, after the Revolution not everyone is going to agree as to what our next step(s) should be. We have years of plotting, planning, implementing, and revising because that's what life is. That's what we are meant to do to progress; the foundations of our nation are no different.
Grueling Our next few note sheets are a plethora of information in one swoop (like Friday's). The Colonial Era into initial foundations are not supposed to be long in length of days for pacing, but are long in regards to quantity of information. Please stick with me and we will wrap up the initial part quickly so we can move onto the rest of American History.
